Job summary

Soboba Casino Resort in San Jacinto, CA seeks a Slot Technical Supervisor to lead the Slot Department’s repair and maintenance efforts during shifts. You will oversee up to 25 technicians, coordinate maintenance, safety training, and CMS/ gaming platform updates.

Collaborate with Slot Shift Managers to ensure top guest service, enforce policies, and manage project paperwork, inventory, and vendor coordination across Soboba properties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum two (2) years Slot Technical or equivalent technical expertise.
• Associates (AA/AS) or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to work days, weekends, holidays.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Summary

The Slot Technical Supervisor accounts for the performance, personnel, and coordination of Slot Department repair and maintenance, and related project and administrative functions during his/her shift; collaborates with the Slot Shift Managers to ensure maximum guest service is provided to our guests at all times; and reports unusual problems or situations to the Slot Technical Assistant Manager and/or Slot Technical Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Directly Supervise up to 25 team members.
• Effectively schedule, manage breaks and approve time off in accordance with department policies while ensuring maximum team production.
• Effectively communicate with all team members.
• Expected to provide leadership and guidance for all Slot Technical team members.
• Routinely provide training and instruct Slot Technicians on safety protocols and procedures.
• Expected to learn new gaming platforms/products and assisting others in the learning process.
• Instruct technicians on policies and procedures, and ensure all Slot Technicians fully comply with policies and procedures implemented by the Slot Department and Soboba Casino Resort.
• Coordinate with and assist Slot Supervisors and Slot Shift Managers.
• Organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision.
• Act as a department champion, promoting the department’s/company services and functions to other team members, departments, vendors, applicants and others who visit the department/property.
• As directed by the Slot Technical Assistant Manager, responsible for administration and maintenance of all gaming machines, kiosks, systems and sub-systems.
• Hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising and managing performance; rewarding, terminating, addressing complaints and solving problems.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Provide team member evaluations and progressive management when appropriate.
• Assist Parts & Inventory Supervisor with inventory control and warehouse maintenance.
• Expected to stay informed of the Casino Management System (CMS) processes and procedures and provide training to team members as appropriate.
• Accurately administer CMS updates, type IDs, software updates, reports, and use modules of the system appropriately.
• Work with the Slot Technical Clerk to ensure gaming device files are kept up to date.
• Must have the ability to effectively manage slot projects to ensure accuracy and efficiently.
• Basic understanding of networking and network protocols to effectively manage troubleshooting on the casino floor.
• Ensure all progressive liabilities are accurately documented prior to any project requiring either a transfer or a retire of liability.
• Keep accurate progressive read logs to ensure compliance with daily progressive meter readings.
• Under the direction and assistance of Slot Technical Management team the Slot Technical Supervisor will create all slot project paperwork/packages and ensure accuracy and timely submission to all required personnel.
• Assist the Regulatory & Compliance team with any Slot software related issues or concerns.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

• Perform duties at all SCR Satellite locations.
• Transport Slot Team Members to and from SCR Satellite locations in a SCR-owned vehicle.

Education / Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum two (2) years Slot Technical or equivalent technical expertise.
• Associates (AA/AS) or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or any related field, considered a plus but not required.
• Any combination of education beyond the minimum requirement as well as any experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary will be considered.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including days, weekends, afternoons, overnight and holidays.
• Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Certificates, licenses and registration

• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.

• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record required (no major violations in past 3 years; fewer than 3 minor violations in past year preferred). See Vehicle Policy for breakdown.
• Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift, power pallet jack and pallet jack certification within first 90 days of position or as facilitated by Slot Management.
