Job summary

Landry's is hiring a Slot Attendant to welcome guests to the Players Club and handle jackpot verifications, forms, and slot machine service with a focus on professional guest service aligned to the K.E.E.P. brand values.

The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and a Nevada gaming license is mandatory. Prior casino experience is preferred, and English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

Overview

The Slot Attendant encourages new guest enrollments into the Players Club while acknowledging and maintaining all aspects of slot related duties, such as identifying jackpots, generating documents through the online system, and answering all guest questions.This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity)

Responsibilities

• Assists Slot Shift Supervisors with any duties designated
• Observes slot machine play
• Verifies and/or pays customers for jackpots and signs required forms
• Services machines when minor malfunctions occur
• Verifies jackpots within certain level and signs required forms
• Monitors assigned slot area for situations requiring attention or action
• Ensures compliance with Federal currency reporting regulations

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Minimum 21 years of age or above

Proven customer service skills to interact appropriately with guests in a considerate, professional, and positive manner by showing concern and listening actively.

• Ability to count paper and coin currency quickly and accurately.
• Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Slot Attendant experience in casino preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math skills.

Language Skills:

Must be able to speak and understand English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
• Frequently stooping, reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
• Work with others in close spaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.

Pay Range

USD $14.00 - USD $14.00 /Hr.
