We are seeking a detail-oriented Slitting Operator to set up, operate, and maintain slitting machines to cut materials to precise specifications. This role ensures efficient production, minimal waste, and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications.
• Monitor production for accurate cuts and proper material alignment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize efficiency and material usage.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and production goals.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge: At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator, preferably in coating, slitting, laminating, or similar roles within manufacturing or textiles, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

• Experience operating slitting or similar machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, measurements, and specifications.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

• Constant standing, walking, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, climbing, balancing, working at heights, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
• Exposure to production noise and materials related to slitting.
• Shift-based schedule with potential overtime.
