Job summary

Transcendia in Strongsville, OH is seeking a Machine Operator on 2nd shift to set up and operate slitting machines, cutting film to specified widths, lengths and diameters while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

You will join a team dedicated to continuous improvement, read production tickets, measure outcomes with tape measures and micrometers, and help maintain a clean, safe work area. Training on 1st shift is provided to support the transition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient in reading production tickets and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse.
• Maintains a safe working environment by following safety policies.
• Operates slitting machines and sets up blades and components.
• Reads production schedule and documents to determine setup.
• Monitors machine operation and checks for defects.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
