Job summary

Technipaq, Inc. in Cary, IL is seeking a Slitter Operator for 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm, M-F). The role supports press, lamination, and pouch departments by slitting material and handling customer roll stock.

The ideal candidate has machine operator experience or relevant mechanical work, is at least 18, and capable of measuring to 1/16 inch while standing all shift. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of machine operator experience or 2+ years in complex mechanical work.
• Must be 18+ and pass reading and ruler tests.
• Able to stand for the full shift.
• Able to measure with a ruler to 1/16 inch (pre-employment ruler test).
• Lift up to 65 lbs and move heavy rolls daily.
• Squat, bend, crouch, kneel; tolerate chemicals and odors.
• ISO experience in manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred.
• Lamination/packaging/pharma experience preferred but not required.
• We will train.

Shift

1st Shift (Cary Location) 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, M-F

Required Skills

• 1+ years of machine operator experience OR 2+ yrs doing any complex Mechanical (i.e. taking cars, machines apart, replacing engines or transmissions, etc). is required
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass our reading and ruler testing
• Ability to be on your feet and stand/walk for entire shift.
• Make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch (must pass a pre-employment ruler test)
• Physically fit with no restrictions and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs; push, pull, maneuver very large rolls of materials weighing several hundred pounds with the use of equipment on a daily basis.
• Must be able to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel. Must be able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors.
• Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
• Previous lamination, packaging or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but NOT required,
