ABB Inc. manufactures NEMA motors and seeks a Slitting Line Operator for 3rd shift onsite. You will operate line equipment, cranes, and tools, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely production. This role requires reading schedules, documenting inventory, and maintaining machine setup with precision.

You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended shifts with potential weekend overtime; compensation aligns with market hourly ranges for this position in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Operate overhead and jib cranes, hoists, coil carts, scanners, computers, and electric pallet trucks safely.
• Maintain safety protocols and wear PPE including Kevlar sleeves when handling metal strips.
• Set up head configurations and re-coilers according to production specs and align coil placement.
• Verify material quality with measuring equipment and match coil numbers to process sheets.
• Read schedules, enter inventory data, print tags, and scan material in/out.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with ABB safety policies and wear PPE.
• Perform lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; stand and move as required by production.
• Operate slitting line equipment, cranes, tooling, jacks, and controls with proficiency.
• Read and follow written instructions; inspect tooling and use precision measuring tools.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available for overtime on short notice.
