Job summary

On-Board PMO is hiring a General Operator for a full-time role in Towanda, PA. The position involves operating a slitter, handling heavy stock, and performing packaging and palletizing tasks on a 12-hour rotating swing shift.

A cleanroom suit will be worn during the shift, and background checks and drug testing are required. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Must wear cleanroom suit & hood for 12 hours of labor.
• Willingness to learn significant manufacturing knowledge for several slitters and the pack line.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to complete a background check, drug test, and physical successfully.

Responsibilities

• Perform all elements of running a slitter.
• Transport wide stock weighing 1000lbs on beam racks.
• Clean the slitter and threading up.
• Set clutches and position knives.
• Unload finished product rolls weighing 8–50 lbs.
• Inspect film for defects.
• Place slit rolls onto buggies for packaging.
• Push/pull buggies to packaging area.
• Package materials and wrap slit rolls in polyethylene.
• Place 1 to 4 rolls into a case and palletize up to 5 high.
• Move pallets to shipping area using a pallet jack.
