Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a Slitter Assistant for 2nd shift in Hickory. The role runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with a starting wage of $19.32/hour. You will support Slitter Operators, move and wrap pallets, stage rolls, and ensure timely shipment of TOPPAN products.

We value excellent attendance, teamwork, and problem-solving. Candidates should read work orders, measure materials, and assist across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent attendance history is critical.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Pack roll stock from the Slitting and Press Departments.
• Assist Slitter Operators to increase production efficiency on the assigned shift.
• Move and wrap pallets, stage rolls, and keep materials stocked.
• Cut cores, reclaim rolls, and label finished rolls.
• Collect samples for QA and Customer Service as requested.
• Move finished goods to wrapping staging area.
• Review lists and prepare materials to execute orders.
• Operate slitter equipment and cover PTO absences when needed.
