Job summary

Coshoctonjfs seeks a Slitter Operator-REM for the 1st shift in Ohio. You will safely operate the slitting machine, move materials, and package finished goods, with potential split shift during training. Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays during peak season and no direct reports.

Required are strong measurement skills (to 1/16”), solid communication, and reliable teamwork with punctual attendance. HS diploma or GED preferred; safety and quality are priority.

Position summary: Primarily responsible for the safe operation of the slitting machine, the movement and storage of raw materials and WIP and the packaging of finished goods as required.

General-purpose: Support the sewing process by ensuring printed products are slit according to specifications and raw and finished materials are packaged, moved and stored in a timely manner.

Position responsibilities:

• Operate slitting machine to produce a high-quality product.
• Move goods to required areas.
• Keep work area clean and free from debris, trash and clutter.
• Work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and requirements.
• Provide timely feedback on issues that affect safety, quality, or productivity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential skills and experience:

• Ability to read and apply standard measures of a ruler or tape measure to 1/16”.
