Job summary

OmniMax is seeking a capable Slitter Operator to join our Lancaster, PA team. The role focuses on safe operation, precision measurements, and line control to ensure high-quality metal processing in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of Slitter experience, forklift proficiency, and strong math skills. Proficiency with micrometers/calipers and Oracle is preferred for accurate production tracking.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Slitter operator experience.
• Forklift experience required.
• Strong mathematical ability working with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret charts, specifications, and production schedules.
• Experience using micrometer and calipers.
• Solid computer skills, specifically Oracle.
• Detail-oriented by nature.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Use micrometer and calipers to check metal gauge and diameters.
• Operate and monitor line via computer-controlled equipment.
• Follow drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Move materials with powered fork-lift trucks.
• Set up separator blades for proper metal fan-out; reduce rolled edges.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to plan setups.
• Make repairs/adjustments; escalate major issues to maintenance.
• Report faulty operation or defective material to supervision.
• Keep the workplace neat and production records up to date.
