Job description

Taconic, a global leader in the manufacture of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tapes, is seeking a Slitter Operator on 2nd shift for our Petersburgh, NY location.

Responsibilities

As Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for machine operation and inventory maintenance to fulfill factory and stock orders. The Slitter Operator also determines the product required, slits to exact measurement and delivers to shipping for proper packaging.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent experience.
• Basic math ability with knowledge of how to use a calculator, micrometer, tape measure and square.
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work well with others and prioritize based on changing work conditions.
