Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote a strong safety culture and follow all plant safety policies.
  • Operate and adjust slitters to process metal coils per specifications.
  • Inspect material during processing to ensure quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and properly label slit materials.
  • Repair minor mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other machinery safely.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist with bulk product inspections and defect removal.
  • Participate in training and certification programs.
  • Train new operators when necessary.
  • Use precision tools (micrometers, calipers) for quality control.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Sufficient ability to maintain records and reports.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
