Job summary

MatWorks in LaGrange, GA is seeking a Production Machine Operator to set up, operate, and adjust slitting machines according to production specifications.

You will review work orders, measure finished products, load rolls using forklifts, maintain quality, and keep records while following 5S standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Measure and inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
• Load and unload large rolls of rubber matting using forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment (as authorized).
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain product quality and minimize waste.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions, material defects, or quality concerns to supervision or maintenance.
• Replace blades and perform minor machine adjustments and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Accurately label, package, and prepare finished products for the next stage of production or shipment.
• Maintain production records, inventory usage, and quality documentation.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures when applicable.
• Assist in other production areas as needed.
