JOB PURPOSE

Feed components into machines and/or palletize near completed or completed work onto pallets as necessary to process work through the bindery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

DAILY

• Reports to the designated supervisor, lead, and/or machine operator for a job assignment.
• Performs one of the following tasks as directed by the Supervisor or lead based on priorities and schedules within the department:
• Feed loose signatures from pallets to assigned pockets on the gatherer.
• Feed book blocks from a pallet to the binding line.
• Assist with handwork (jacketing, book repair, stickering, inserts, stacking, and piling off) as the schedules dictate.
• Tack loose books on pallets.
• Carton books.
• Stack cartons of books on pallets.
• Visually inspect the product for defects and report any problems to the machine operator, supervisor, or lead immediately.
• Follows all standard operating and safety procedures for particular job assignments.
• Performs general housekeeping duties as required during the shift.
• Assist maintenance and machine operator in cleaning the machine during monthly preventative maintenance.
• Clean various areas in the department as assigned by the supervisor.

The position is subject to pre-employment background checks and drug testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

12-hour shift - Day shift, Night shift, Monday to Friday, and Weekend availability.

Paid Holidays.

Must have the ability to commute/relocate:

Fairfield, PA 17320: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required).
