Job description

Join to apply for the Slime Making Science Camp Counselors role at Mad Science Of West New Jersey.

As a Mad Scientist, you will inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers through our innovative activities that demonstrate the essence of science. We aim to teach science in a fun and memorable way.

You will present engaging, hands-on science programs to elementary-aged children, including launching rockets and performing exciting experiments. Camp themes include BRIXOLOGY, NASA STEM Explorers, Robots: Paths to Power, Underground Explorers, Chemical Curiosities, among others. We collaborate with Crayola, NASA, and Lego to develop our programs.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Attend orientation and training prior to camp.
  • Ensure the safety of children during activities.
  • Engage actively with children during experiments to ensure they have fun and learn.
  • Be able to lift and transport equipment, which varies in size and weight. Your vehicle should accommodate the equipment.
  • Drive to and from camp using your own vehicle. Camps are located in Blue Bell, North Wales, Lansdale, Harleysville, Fort Washington, Doylestown, and nearby areas.
Schedule and Pay
  • You may choose to work half or full-day camps. More availability allows for more work.
  • Half-day: 9am-12:30pm or 12:30-3:30pm.
  • Full-day: 9am-3:30pm.
  • Pay rates: $325/week for half-day, $575/week for full-day camps.
