Job summary

Description

The Software Developer position supports the NYSDOL Website Redesign project to design, implement and maintain a new user-friendly site. The resource will provide specialized technical support, knowledge transfer, incident resolution, enhancement delivery, and documentation for required integrations between existing DOL software products/data and the new website platform.

Duties

• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and document required use cases.


• Develop accessible user-interface screens, reusable components, and application frameworks using Angular and Java technologies, with emphasis on ADA compliance.


• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP web services and integrate application components into end-to-end business processes.


• Develop complex SQL and data-access components for DB2 and other relational databases, including object-relational mapping frameworks.

• 24 months of experience developing or supporting applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform or another enterprise cloud platform, including configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) like Cloudflare or Akamai, and managing external file hosting/storage solutions.


• 24 months of experience analyzing and documenting existing application designs, enhancement roadmaps, technical debt, or system functionality.
