Job summary

Lunya in New York is seeking a detail-oriented Associate Technical Designer to support the development of our sleepwear collections. This role blends technical precision with a passion for comfortable, quality sleepwear and requires close collaboration with senior engineers, design, product development, and external factories.

You will prepare measurements, review patterns, assist with fittings, and help ensure on-time development.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in technical design or apparel development, preferably sleepwear or intimate apparel.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, measurements and fit; knits and wovens.
• Patternmaking and grading familiarity; Lectra preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel; SharePoint experience is a plus.
• Experience preparing specs, measuring samples, and documenting fit corrections.
• Attention to detail with organized technical records; clear cross-team communication.
• Ability to manage multiple styles and meet development deadlines.
• Familiarity with time-and-action calendars and garment approvals.

Responsibilities

• Technical Specifications: Prepare and update measurement charts, construction details, and technical documentation.
• Pattern Adjustments & Grading: Review patterns and graded specs; suggest fit adjustments.
• Sample & Garment Review: Measure and evaluate development, fit, and pre-production samples.
• Fittings & Corrections: Participate in fittings, document feedback, and issue correction instructions.
• Documentation & Organization: Maintain records of samples, specs, fit comments, and revisions.
• Garment Approval Support: Track corrections and prepare samples for Blue Tag and final approval processes.
• Development Coordination: Coordinate with Design, grading, QC, and factories for timely submissions.
• Issue Resolution: Flag concerns and work with seniors to resolve fit or construction issues.
