Job summary

National Jewish Health is seeking a Sleep Technologist (RPSGT/RRT-SDS) to perform overnight and daytime sleep studies, including polysomnography and CPAP/BiPAP titrations. You will monitor data, analyze results, and collaborate with physicians to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

The role requires certification (RPSGT or RRT-SDS) and BLS, with a commitment to patient-centered care in a team environment.

Qualifications

• HS or equivalent required; associates or bachelors preferred.
• Certification as a Registered Polysomnography Sleep Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Respiratory Therapist – Sleep Disorder Specialist (RRT-SDS) or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality diagnostic sleep study testing to assist physician in diagnosis of sleep breathing conditions per AASM/BRPT/AAST guidelines.
• Assists with preparing patients for examination and may obtain medical history and vital signs.
• Proficient analysis of diagnostic sleep study data according to standards and policy.
• Maintains documentation accurately and completes EMR entries.
• Operates and maintains sleep study equipment and software.
• Participates in quality improvement processes and acts as quality control as assigned.
• Maintains continuing education per BRPT/AASM requirements and institutional policies.
• Provides guidance to less experienced staff to assure high-quality sleep studies.
