Sleep Technologist (Polysomnography) - Training Opportunity with Full Educational Assistance

Position Details
  • Title: Sleep Technologist (Polysomnography)
  • Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Campus
  • Department: Sleep Technologist training program in the Heart, Lung & Sleep Department
  • Hours & Shift: Part-time night shift, hours may vary during training, including weekdays and weekends
Training Program & Responsibilities
  • Provides educational assistance for a Polysomnography Training Program, covering tuition, textbooks, certification testing, and application fees
  • Participants must commit to a service period post-training as per an Educational Assistance Agreement
  • Applicants will undergo an interview process; a job shadow is recommended to assess interest
  • Once accepted and employed, reimbursement includes workshop training, BLS certification, screenings, and a $150 uniform stipend
  • Responsibilities include consulting with physicians, patient assessments, therapy procedures, sleep studies, documentation, and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
  • Enrollment in one of the two available Sleep Technologist programs; contact HR for details
  • Residency within the vicinity of Upland Hills Health
  • Completion of clinical rotations at UHH Sleep Study Center
  • Certification as a Polysomnographer/Sleep Tech within 6 months of graduation
  • Minimum of 2000 hours or 1 year of service post-training
  • Willingness to work nights and a minimum of 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week) after training
  • Compliance with employment requirements including background checks, health screening, and references
  • CPR (BLS) certification; familiarity with Microsoft Office is beneficial
