Job summary

Norman Regional in Oklahoma is seeking a Sleep Technologist to explain procedures to patients, collect required paperwork, and monitor sleep studies. You will apply the international 10-20 system, perform polysomnography setup, calibrate oximeters, and set up ancillary equipment.

This regular full-time, day-shift position is M-F, 8–5. Compensation ranges per experience, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, PTO, tuition reimbursement, retirement plans, free parking, and advancement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; registered polysomnography technologist credential or Sleep Disorder Specialist credential per state/national requirements.
• BCLS certification; continuing education in sleep diagnostics as required by state regulations.
• RPSGT certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to the patient and collect necessary paperwork.
• Apply the 10-20 Electrode System and perform polysomnography setup.
• Implement and titrate CPAP/BiPAP devices and monitor study data.
• Review polysomnography recordings and ensure proper documentation.

Job Summary

• Explain procedures to the patient, collects necessary paper work, monitors and records study
• Applies the international 10-20 System of Electrodes, polysomnograph set-up, oximeter calibration, and set-up of ancillary equipment
• Performs Continuous Positive Airway Pressure or Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure device implementation and titration monitoring
• Record review of polysomnograms is an integral part of the job
• Reviews clinical competencies for procedures, equipment and documentation

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent, registered by the national board of polysomnography technologist or hold credential of sleep disorder specialist by the national board of respiratory care

Licensure/Certification

• Basic cardiac life support (BCLS), continuing education in sleep diagnostic required per state regulations, accrediting organization or as determined by clinical education coordinator, registered polysomnography technologist by the board of polysomnography technologist (RPSGT)
