Job summary

CHA Sleep Laboratory at Cambridge Health Alliance seeks a Sleep Technician or Respiratory Therapist for a 24-hour coverage role with a 7p–7a shift on varied days at the CHA Somerville Campus.

The position performs in-lab sleep studies (PSG), home sleep tests, CPAP titrations, MSLTs, scoring and reporting, working with the Pulmonary department to deliver high-quality sleep services.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Sleep Technology or Respiratory Therapy program leading to a certificate or associate degree.
• Credentials required: RST, RPSGT, SDS, or RRT.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• One year polysomnography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic sleep studies including in-lab PSG, HST, CPAP titrations, and MSLTs.
• Score studies and generate reports in collaboration with the Pulmonary department.
• Provide quality patient care and support continuous improvement in sleep services.

Department Description

The CHA Sleep Laboratory operating under the medical direction of the Pulmonary department, provides comprehensive Sleep Services at the Cambridge Health Alliance Somerville and Everett campuses.

Job Summary:

Our dedicated team of Sleep Technicians and Registered Respiratory Therapists provides diagnostic tests, including in-lab PSG studies, HSTs, CPAP titrations, MSLTs, scoring, and reporting services. We are committed to customer satisfaction, effective resource utilization, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement, ensuring the highest standard of Sleep Studies for our CHA patients.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Successful completion of an accredited Sleep Technology or Respiratory Therapy educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree.

One of the following credentials is required: Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential, or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Certifications: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification

Previous Experience: One year polysomnography experience with pediatric, adult and geriatric patients preferred.
