Job summary

Sharp HealthCare Sleep Center seeks a Sleep Technologist to perform high- quality recording and coordination of polysomnographic data for interpretation. The role requires AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals and either California RCP license or RPSGT plus CA-PSGT certification.

Ideal candidate will manage data, train staff, and support a busy sleep center environment. Shift times are variable with 10/40 AWS hours and 10- hour shifts; weekend on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional is REQUIRED.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioners license (RCP) or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) AND California Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (CA-PSGT) are REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Budget development and adherence; assist in maintaining services within budgetary limits.
• Customer service: communicate positively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Maintain organized working areas; restock supplies and monitor inventory.
• Technical competencies: apply EEG/polysomnographic procedures and reduce data within 48 hours.
• Provide training and inservices; participate in education and certification standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned; ensure professional competency.
