Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Unit Secretary on the West Hospital nursing unit. Under general supervision, you will provide clerical support to the nursing team and help maintain an organized, positive unit culture.

Duties include handling calls from internal and external customers, scheduling discharge follow-ups, and assisting with records and codes within the facility. A high school diploma is required and 25 WPM typing is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare clerical experience preferred but not required.
• Epic EHR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to the nursing unit.
• Handle calls and assist with scheduling tasks and admissions.
• Support discharge follow-up and records management.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
