Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in Polysomnographic technology, respiratory therapy or nursing.
• RPSGT certification or eligibility within 1.5 years of acceptance.
• NYS Respiratory Therapist/Technician license or NYS Polysomnographic license.
• BLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient information to determine testing parameters.
• Prepares and calibrates equipment; applies electrodes and sensors.
• Performs polysomnographic data acquisition with artifact-free signal quality.
• Scores sleep stages and clinical events; documents observations and results.
• Provides patient safety interventions and post-test instructions.
• Maintains equipment, safety and infection control standards.
