Job summary

Electra Memorial Hospital in Electra, TX is seeking a Sleep Lab Technician to administer sleep studies under physician supervision. You will assist in equipment cleaning and maintenance and perform office tasks within the respiratory department.

You will work 40 hours per week on 10-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, focusing on accurate data recording, patient comfort, and timely reporting of sleep study results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of polysomnography procedures and equipment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with operating computers and ability to utilize computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform sleep lab services as prescribed.
• Instruct, prepare, and reassure patients for procedures.
• Transport patients to and from the department safely.
• Record polysomnography data in the patient’s medical record.
• Monitor and document patient sleep patterns and vital signs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure sanitation and storage of supplies.
• Assist in department reporting and filing of records.
