Job summary

Pivotal Health is seeking a Sleep Technologist to conduct overnight and daytime sleep studies in a clinical setting. You will operate polysomnographic equipment to monitor brain activity, eye movements, muscle tone, heart rhythm, and breathing, collaborating with physicians to ensure accurate data collection and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include setup, data collection, reporting, and ensuring safety and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience conducting sleep studies in a laboratory setting.
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and sleep disorders.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate polysomnographic equipment before testing.
• Monitor patients during studies to ensure data quality and safety.
• Collect and analyze EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiration, and oxygen saturation data.
• Prepare detailed reports for sleep physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with privacy standards.
• Educate patients about the sleep study process to promote cooperation.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sleep equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
