Job summary

Massac Memorial Hospital seeks a Sleep Lab Technician (PRN) to support diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services for adults and geriatrics. You will set up, monitor, and evaluate patients, including BIPAP/CPAP, and provide explanations to patients and caregivers.

Graduate of an approved respiratory program with NBRC passage and CPR certification is required. One year of sleep lab experience is preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Summary:Responsible for providing basic and advanced sleep disorders services. The technician must set-up, monitor, and evaluate patients with possible sleep disorders. Technicians must also be able to set-up BIPAP/CPAP.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide explanation and instructions to patient and/or responsible persons and ensure understanding of sleep disorder.
• Assist special needs patients and evaluate patient outcomes.

Education:Graduate of approved respiratory school and passed the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) test. CPR certified.

Experience:Prefer 1 year experience in respiratory and sleep lab environment.
