Job summary

Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a Non-Registered Polysomnographic Tech to assist with sleep disorder evaluations and treatments under the Sleep Lab Manager. This role supports in-center polysomnography and home sleep apnea testing, ensuring accurate data acquisition and patient education.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of A-STEP modules, and BLS certification, with prior sleep lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED, required.
• Completion of A-STEP educational modules administered through the AASM.
• Licensure: BLS, required; national sleep credential preferred (RST/RPSGT/SDS/CPSGT).
• Experience: Sleep lab experience preferred; in-center PSG/HSAT experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, calibrate, and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment for accurate recordings.
• Complete patient intake, orientation, assessment, and documentation.
• Apply sensors and ensure proper patient hookup per AASM standards.
• Monitor patients during testing; respond to events and maintain comfort and data quality.
• Review, score, and annotate studies for provider interpretation.
• Assist onboarding and training of new staff and participate in ongoing competency activities.
