Job summary

Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy, Alabama, is seeking a Polysomnography Tech to join its Sleep Lab on a full-time basis. The technologist will attach electrodes, monitor patients, collect data, and report findings to the physician.

Responsibilities include CPAP titration, oxygen therapy, sleep study scoring, and adherence to Joint Commission, CMS and AASM standards; BLS within 30 days; BRPT certification or registry eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited polysomnography program.
• At least two years' experience in a full-service sleep disorders center.
• BRPT certification or registry eligible.
• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work well alone for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Attach electrodes and monitor patients during sleep studies.
• Conduct CPAP titration and oxygen therapy.
• Score reports and report findings to the physician.
• Follow standards and policies set forth by Joint Commission, CMS, AASM and other regulating bodies.
