Job summary

North Oaks Health System in Hammond, LA is seeking a Part Time Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to perform routine sleep studies. You will independently prepare patients, conduct PSG recordings, and collect data for physician interpretation, under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Supervisor.

The role requires Louisiana BRPT registration or LA licensure as polysomnographic technologist or respiratory therapist, BCLS certification, and strong patient care skills.

Qualifications

• Louisiana Polysomnographic Technologist license or LA Respiratory Therapist license.
• Registered by the BRPT.
• BCLS certification required.
• Ability to work with patients of varying ages and needs.
• Willingness to learn and participate in quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine PSG recordings and prepare patients for testing.
• Collect data for interpretation and follow department policies.
• Maintain Sleep Lab equipment and supplies; ensure safety standards.
• Greet patients, obtain consent, and explain procedures clearly.
• Collaborate with Sleep Lab Supervisor and other staff to improve care.
