Responsibilities
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse sales team focused on the government, education, and public sector markets
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed performance targets, focusing on annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth and client acquisition
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and legal teams to align on government-specific requirements and opportunities
  • Drive adoption of the employer's platform in public sector markets, tailoring messaging and solutions to meet client needs
  • Lead contract negotiations and navigate compliance discussions with legal and security teams
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of sales management experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or public sector sales
  • 5+ years of experience in state and local government and education (SLED) public sector sales
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, RFPs, and government contracting requirements
  • Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing sales teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish credibility with C-level stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA and/or MBA preferred or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles, including working with legal, procurement, and compliance teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify decision-makers and build strong relationships in large organizations
