Role Summary

The Granicus State sales team is a results-driven group focused on expanding revenue in the Govtech SaaS sector. We value initiative and teamwork. The Enterprise Account Executive will drive subscription sales for our Experience Cloud, supporting state agencies in digitizing government-citizen interactions, primarily in the western U.S. region.

Responsibilities
  1. Drive sales and expand market presence in assigned territory.
  2. Work with Marketing to generate and nurture leads.
  3. Communicate value propositions to prospective clients.
  4. Collaborate with partners and lead pursuit teams for large opportunities.
  5. Guide prospects through the buying process and develop sales plans.
  6. Understand customer needs and tailor solutions.
  7. Create and deliver customized presentations.
  8. Coordinate internal resources for proposals and pitches.
  9. Manage all sales activities, from prospecting to contract negotiation.
  10. Maintain detailed records in Salesforce CRM.
  11. Present quarterly sales reviews to management.
  12. Travel approximately 50% for client engagement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years in public sector sales, especially in IT or SaaS.
  • Experience selling through partners/resellers.
  • Proven prospecting and closing skills.
  • Proficient in CRM tools.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and client engagement skills.
  • Effective communicator and influencer.
  • Skilled in navigating complex sales environments.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused approach.
Success Metrics
  • Manage 30+ active opportunities and close at least 15 annually.
  • Close deals worth $100K+.
Additional Information

Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $140,000 USD, excluding bonuses and benefits. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and do not require a degree for most roles. If you’re eager to learn, apply regardless of whether you meet all criteria.
