Job summary

Slalom Build is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a centralized program command center in a hybrid role with 1-2 days onsite in Sacramento. You will coordinate large-scale transformation initiatives, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and deliver real-time dashboards and executive reports.

The role requires 5+ years in program management or transformation, strong facilitation, and excellent written and verbal communication.

What You’ll Do
  • Stand up and manage a centralized program command center to drive alignment, visibility, and execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate planning, readiness, and execution activities in support of large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to drive progress against strategic goals and key outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain visual management tools, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to provide real-time visibility into program health, milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Lead recurring program meetings, workshops, and working sessions, including facilitation of hybrid and virtual discussions, documentation of decisions, and tracking of action items.
  • Create and distribute executive-ready status reports summarizing progress, accomplishments, risks, issues, and next steps.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions, helping teams identify root causes, define target-state outcomes, and develop implementation plans.
  • Support process improvement initiatives through value stream mapping, current-state assessments, and future-state design activities.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and governance artifacts to support operational consistency and adoption.
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive change management activities, gain alignment, and ensure successful implementation of new processes and ways of working.
  • Monitor initiative progress, track benefits realization, and ensure accountability for key deliverables and improvement efforts.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of Program Management, Project Management, PMO, or Transformation experience in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Proven ability to coordinate large-scale initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and competing priorities.
  • Experience driving operational excellence, business process improvement, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead executive, stakeholder, and team-level meetings effectively.
  • Experience creating executive communications, status reporting, dashboards, and visual management tools.
  • Ability to translate ambiguity into structured plans, actionable workstreams, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience documenting business processes, standard work, governance frameworks, and operating models.
  • Ability to identify risks, remove roadblocks, and drive accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience supporting change management, business transformation, or organizational readiness efforts.
  • Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Agile, or related process improvement experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with collaboration, project management, and reporting tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, Excel, Power BI, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
