The Westin Tempe, part of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a part-time SkySill Lounge Bartender to join our rooftop pool and lounge team. You will serve beverages and food, answer menu questions, and assist a friendly, energetic team while delivering excellent guest experiences.

Qualifikationen

• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic math skills to operate a cash register, make change, total checks, count cash, and understand portions.
• Sufficient dexterity to garnish, handle glassware, scoop ice, mix drinks, and retrieve stock overhead.
• Sufficient strength to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Operate POS to pre-check and close out checks.
• Ability to stand in confined spaces for long periods.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships.

A SkySill Lounge Bartender takes part in servicing our food and beverages to our guests around our beautiful rooftop pool and cabanas. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. Responsible for serving beverages and food to the guests while answering any menu related questions. Prepares drinks for servers, ensures a high level of hospitality, and handles cashier duties for the lounge.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes. Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock. Sufficient strength to lift, load, and transport product weighing up to 50 lb. from storage facility to bar. Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items. Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check. Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.

Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
