Job summary

Manhatta, a renowned Union Square Hospitality Group restaurant perched on the 60th floor in New York, seeks a Server who can deliver Enlightened Hospitality and exceptional service. You’ll know the menu, guide guests, and collaborate with the Captain to manage your section.

Requirements include 2+ years as a server in a full-service restaurant, English fluency, ability to stand long hours, and wine knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Server in a full-service restaurant.
• English fluency; additional languages preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Prior knowledge of wine and spirits; ability to inform and guide guests through the beverage menu.

Responsibilities

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
• Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items with sound knowledge of ingredients and preparations.
• Follow steps of service with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency.
• Oversee designated section with an owner's mentality, in partnership with the Captain.
• Anticipate guest needs by serving as the face of your section, ensuring constant communication with colleagues, management, and the kitchen during service.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant.
• Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and grow.
