Job summary

DO & CO is seeking a dynamic Food Packer in Des Plaines, IL to check, pack, and prepare meals and related items for flights. You will ensure correct meal counts, pack and verify galley equipment, and assist with trays and packaging in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, plus the ability to stand for long periods and work in temperature-controlled areas is required. Daily meals and competitive compensation are offered to full-time staff.

• Ability to calculate math.
• Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for checking and packing of food and goods according to DO & CO and airline specifications.
• Ensures correct number of meals for each flight are ready, packed and assigned correctly in a timely manner.
• Packs and checks aircraft galley equipment to ensure all are adhering to airline guidelines.
• Assists in setting up trays, preparing and packaging food.
• Conducts physical counts and pack additional equipment or products.
• Reports problems with the food safety management system to the supervisor and the hygiene and food safety team and complies.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook
• Assists with airside operations under the direction of the flight coordinator and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
