Job summary

Matter Brothers Furniture, a top 100 furniture retailer in Pinellas Park, FL, seeks a Merchandise Assistant to support SKU management across the product lifecycle and coordinate with vendors, showrooms, and internal teams. Qualifications

• Two years of experience in retail merchandising or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, marketing, retailing, or related field—or equivalent experience—preferred.
• Strong data-entry, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with STORIS and/or Salesforce is a plus.
• Knowledge of merchandising, pricing, assortment planning, SKU management, and omnichannel retail preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a professional, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple priorities within established deadlines.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, enter, and maintain accurate SKU and product information, including descriptions, specifications, pricing, status, and related records.
• Maintain merchandising tools and product data; audit records, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections.
• Manage and distribute clear communication to vendors, showrooms, and cross-functional teams regarding merchandising direction and expectations.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and obtain the information needed to support accurate product setup and maintenance.
• Prepare, organize, and analyze merchandise, inventory, and product lifecycle reports.
• Support showroom product resets, events, installations, and other merchandising initiatives.
• Build effective working relationships and contribute to process improvements across the merchandising function.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the Company's Core and Growth Values in all job functions.
