Job summary

Sofive is seeking a part-time Skills Institute Coach at our Rockville site to lead youth soccer sessions for ages 5–12. You’ll apply the Skills Institute curriculum to teach dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork while creating a supportive, growth-focused environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, positive discipline, and engaging families in the development process. The position offers weekend availability and weekday afternoons/evenings as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for youth soccer.
• Love of the game and some playing experience helps.
• Willingness to learn and grow as a coach.
• Commitment to weekly shifts for the duration of each season.
• Ability to work with kids ages 5 to 12 and keep them engaged.
• Background check required.
• $20 / hour.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging soccer training sessions for kids ages 5 to 12.
• Use our proven Skills Institute curriculum to teach core technical skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and challenging environment where players can grow.
• Foster character development by emphasizing teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
• Build meaningful relationships with players and families.
• Represent the Sofive, Skills Institute, and Lil’ Kickers brands with enthusiasm.
• Support marketing efforts and assist with special events when needed.
