Job summary

Ryerson in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Welder to join our union-based fabrication team. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum, following layouts and blueprints to meet quality standards.

On-the-job training via a registered apprenticeship program is provided, with safety as a core priority. The role requires at least 3 years of welding in steel or industrial settings, forklift and overhead crane experience, and a commitment to accurate

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a steel or industrial manufacturing setting preferred.
• Extensive MIG welding experience; TIG welding experience preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Physical ability to pass a vision, hearing, and mobility exam.

Responsibilities

• Applies welding and assembling to carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in a fabrication environment.
• Reads layouts, work orders, and blueprints; uses MIG/TIG equipment and positions pieces in jigs/fixtures.
• Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Maintains safety practices and required records; uses PPE.
• All other duties as assigned or as needed.
