Job summary

Hazleton Division, a division of the H&K Group, Inc., is seeking a Welder to fabricate and repair metal items in a fast-paced shop. The ideal candidate is safety focused, team oriented, motivated, and takes initiative.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2 years related experience required.
• Ability to use mechanics hand tools and welding equipment (SMAW, GTAW, GCAW, GMAW).
• Valid driver license required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows OSHA/MSHA and company safety policies.
• Receives direction from shop foreman on fabrication/repair tasks.
• Verifies supplies are available to complete tasks.
• Tracks progress and communicates with supervisors.
• Suggests improvements for efficiency.
• Reads prints, measures, cuts, fits, tacks, welds, and polishes metals.
• Other duties may be assigned.
