Job summary

Alamo Group Ag Americas, LLC in Selma, Alabama is seeking an experienced Welder to join the manufacturing team. This role welds non-critical fabricated parts and subassemblies under supervision, following blueprints, layouts or welding procedures, contributing to safety, production quality, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, 3 months to 1 year welding experience, and knowledge of MIG welding.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3 months to 1 year experience in welding required.
Knowledge of MIG welding required.

Responsibilities

Focus, communicate, and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and in company meetings.
Adjusts and operates welding equipment to perform non-critical welds on fabricated parts and subassemblies; maintains production quantities, efficiencies and quality.
Loads fabricated parts into jigs and fixtures and prepares surfaces for welding by grinding, buffing or brushing.
Maintains welding equipment and makes adjustments when changing parts.
Loads and unloads fixtures.
Performs simple measurements using gauges to check work.
May skip weld designed parts to secure pieces for other welders.
Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
