Job summary

Alamo Group Ag Americas, LLC in Selma, Alabama is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Bush Hog team. The Welder will perform non‑critical welds on fabricated parts and subassemblies, following blueprints or welding procedures, and ensure quality and safety standards.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 3 months to 1 year welding experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to read weld symbols. We offer relocation assistance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
• Capable of performing standard measurements.
• Knowledge of mig welding basics.
• Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to read weld symbols and blueprints with specifications.

Responsibilities

• Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings.
• Adjusts and operates welding equipment to perform non‑critical welds on fabricated parts and subassemblies. Maintains production quantities, efficiencies and quality on parts welded.
• Loads fabricated parts or subassemblies into jigs and fixtures. Prepares the surface to be welded by grinding, buffing or brushing so the weld can be performed. Visually examines welds for adherence to blueprint specifications.
• Maintains welding equipment and makes adjustments on equipment to prepare it to weld different parts or subassemblies when changing from one part to the other.
• Loads and unloads fixtures.
• Performs simple measurements using devices or gauges to check work.
• May skip weld designed parts to secure pieces for other welders.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Supervisor
