Job summary

CRH is seeking a qualified welder to join our crew in Ridgeland, SC. You will set up, weld, and fabricate components per specifications, operating manual and semi-automatic welders, grinders, drills, and torches. You will inspect welds for quality and safety, perform repairs, and maintain records of work performed.

The role requires basic welding certification and at least two years of welding experience, with a commitment to safety and teamwork. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have basic welding certification and be able to interpret safety rules and schematics.
• Two or more years of welding experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in shop and job site environments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and manuals.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up, prepare, cut, grind, and fit materials for welding per specs.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment including manual and semi-automatic welders.
• Weld components in multiple positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead).
• Inspect welds and structures for quality, safety, and spec compliance.
• Perform welding repairs and maintenance on trucks and machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of labor, parts, and work performed.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to jobs.
