Job summary

Hopkins | Lacy division of Branch, is growing and hiring experienced commercial MEP trades to join our Roanoke team. We seek Foreman, Plumbers, and Sheet Metal Mechanics to lead crews, install and service plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, and electrical systems in a fast-paced environment.

We offer full-time roles with competitive pay based on experience, strong safety focus, and opportunities to advance within a respected regional contractor. Travel to job sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial MEP experience for non-supervisory positions.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Dependable work ethic and team-first attitude.
  • Leadership experience preferred for Foreman and Superintendent roles.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead crews and manage jobsite productivity.
  • Install, repair, and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, and electrical systems.
  • Layout and coordination of commercial MEP systems.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing system issues.
  • Ensuring work meets quality standards, code requirements, and project schedules.

  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Hopkins | Lacy, the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Division of Branch, is growing and looking for experienced, motivated trade professionals to join our team. We are hiring all levels of skilled commercial MEP workers who are ready to build, lead, and succeed in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Leading crews and managing jobsite productivity
  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, and electrical systems
  • Layout and coordination of commercial MEP systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing system issues
  • Ensuring work meets quality standards, code requirements, and project schedules

Compensation

Salary Min: $37,842
Salary Max: $100,000+
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

Travel

Travelisfrequentlyrequired to and from job site locations.

Work Environment

While performing duties on this job, the employee isfrequentlyexposed to various indoor/outdoorclimate conditions and temperatures. They will also be exposed to frequent fumes, odors, dust, gases, poor ventilation, etc. Noise level exceeding 85 decibels will require hearing protection. Other hazards might include electrical shock, burns, explosives, radiant energy, mechanical hazards, etc.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. They will need to stand (approximately 60%), walk (approximately 30%), and sit (approximately 10%). The employee will also need to be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, feel, talk, and hear. The employee will need to be able to carry up to 75lbs, lift up to 100lbs, and move up to 200lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, midrange vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which typically requires40 hoursper week.
