Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating paving or heavy equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a drug test and adhere to safety standards.
• Able to work long hours, including weekends/evenings as needed.
• CDL license is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment including pavers, rollers, skid steers and forklifts as project needs.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks; report issues promptly.
• Load, unload, and position equipment on job sites safely.
• Work with the paving crew to ensure even asphalt distribution and a smooth finish.
• Follow grade markers and layout specifications for desired slope and thickness.
• Maintain control of speed, feed, and depth of material application.
• Assist with handwork when equipment is not in use.
• Comply with safety regulations, traffic control procedures, and company policies.
• Communicate clearly with crew members and foreman during operations.
