Job summary

Superior Paving Corp. has supported Northern Virginia's transportation infrastructure for 50 years and now serves Central Virginia. We are seeking a Laborer II to assist asphalt paving, operate small equipment, and maintain safety on road projects.

You will work under supervision, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to high-quality workmanship. The role requires 1-2 years of paving or construction experience, the ability to read safety documents, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of paving or construction experience.
• Ability to read, follow, and interpret safety documents and manuals.
• Strong understanding of paving operations and jobsite safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with asphalt placement by raking, shoveling, and distributing material.
• Perform pavement removal and surface preparation using jackhammers and other tools.
• Operate small tools and light equipment such as blowers, tampers, and saws.
• Maintain traffic-control devices and serve as a flagger when needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
