Job summary

The Springfield-Greene County Parks Department is seeking an independent, self-motivated Craftsworker to perform skilled and semi-skilled craftswork in the construction, maintenance, and repair of city and county parks and facilities, including golf courses, fitness centers, pools, and the Cooper Tennis Complex.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in equipment maintenance, pool cleaning and water management, safety and regulatory compliance, record keeping, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years responsible experience in construction or maintenance craftswork of which at least one year has been at a skilled level in one or more of the following areas: concrete, welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and/or mechanical.
• Experience must be commensurate with craft specialty required for current vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled craftswork in the construction, maintenance, and/or repair of parks and facilities including golf courses, fitness centers, pools, and the Cooper Tennis Complex.
• Maintain equipment, manage pool cleaning and water systems, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, keep records, and troubleshoot and repair systems.
