Job summary

State of Hawai'i is seeking a skilled painter to perform painting of interior and exterior surfaces on state buildings and structures. The role may involve supervising Painter Helpers and other assistants, and performing related duties as assigned.

The candidate must have strong knowledge of painting techniques, safety procedures, and be able to work from scaffolds or rigs, with attention to time and materials estimation. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 4 years of work experience in painting or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Knowledge of painting practices and methods, including safety procedures.
• Ability to use brushes, rollers, spray guns and other tools; read and follow instructions; perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Paint interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and structures, equipment and furniture.
• Possibly supervise Painter Helpers or other helpers.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
