Friendship Village Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Painter for a full-time, first-shift role in our maintenance team. Candidates should bring painting experience and a commitment to high-quality work, with the ability to handle physically demanding tasks in varied weather and environments.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have painting experience.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and ability to follow them.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 100 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Cleans surfaces to be painted using sanders, scrapers, brushes, etc.
• Remove paint from surfaces as needed.
• Mix, thin, and match paints.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
• Perform wall coverings, sheetrock finishing, spackling and general wall repairs.
