Job summary

The City of New York, via NYCHA, seeks a skilled Painter to prepare surfaces, mix colors, and apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray guns. The job requires working from ladders, platforms, and scaffolds, and includes plastering as needed.

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time painting experience within the last fifteen years.
• Alternatively, at least three years of painting experience plus sufficient apprentice painter time to total five years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, fill and prime surfaces for painting.
• Mix paint components and match colors.
• Apply paint with a brush, roller or spray gun.
• Apply plaster to surfaces.
• Work on and from ladders, platforms and scaffolds.
• Rig lines and scaffolds.
